Fox’s “Scream Queens” is premiering this Tuesday night, and aside from the sorority girls played by Emma Roberts, Keke Palmer and Lea Michele among others, the Ryan Murphy horror comedy also has a cast of male actors to bring in the testosterone goodies this fall season. Check out six of them below.
1. Nick Jonas
"Levels" singer Nick Jonas is playing Boone in "Scream Queens." In an interview with HuffPost Live, Jonas revealed that his character is a prick, but he is fun to play. The 22-year-old crooner also revealed that he is excited for this "new journey" as part of Ryan Murphy's cast. Last Thursday, he was spotted looking a decade older by wearing a huge wig and a giant beard while filming a scene for the series set in New Orleans, as reported by Us Weekly.
2. Diego Boneta
Diego Boneta plays Pete Diller in the horror comedy series, and according to the 24-year-old Mexican singer-actor his character is a rebel and "he's anti-sorority and anti-fraternity." He also revealed to Billboard that Pete runs the school paper aside from being a barista, and that he is very keen to uncover the real identity behind the murderer. "He takes his job very seriously, he's very passionate and he also has a romantic side," the actor said of Pete, who later on falls in love with Skyler Samuels' Grace.
3. Oliver Hudson
Kate Hudson's brother Oliver is playing Wes Gardener in Fox's "Scream Queens." In April, the "Rules of Engagement" star opened up to The Hollywood Reporter that his role is a father and he loves it because he has never played one before despite having three kids in real life. Hudson also said that Wes has a relatable and soft side but he "has a real edge and he has got a lot of secrets." Interestingly, he also said that "there's a mystery around this person" that is bound to come out. Could he be playing the murderer?
4. Lucien Laviscount
British actor Lucien Laviscount is coming to Fox's fall tv to play Earl Grey for the Emma Roberts starrer. He plays a series regular who according to him fits into the storyline in a "magical mysterious way." He noted that his character is a fun kind of guy and "he is cool" in a promotional interview for the show. Earl is also a frat boy but he has got a mysterious side to him as well with "a few secrets maybe."
5. Glen Powell
"The Dark Knight Rises" actor Glen Powell is set to play Chad Radwell, one of the male leads of the series. In his promotional clip, Powell said that his character is the coolest guy ever. The 26-year-old's involvement in "Scream Queens" was announced back in February, as per Deadline. Powell also teased that Chad is "the most handsome" and "well endowed" guy among the male characters.
6. Patrick Schwarzenegger
Miley Cyrus' ex Patrick Schwarzenegger is the last hunky addition to the highly anticipated series. He plays Thad Radwell. And you guessed it right. Thad is a relative of Powell's Chad. Variety reported that there is little info about Schwarzenegger's role except that he is bound to debut on "Scream Queens" in a November episode. His casting for the series was revealed early this month.
