Here are five things you should know about "Limitless" lead actor Jake McDorman if you are planning on following his CBS sci-fi drama series this fall season.
1. He is a Texas native
The "Limitless" lead actor hails from Dallas, Texas. He was born to John Allen McDorman III and Deborah Gale in the modern metropolis in the northern part of the Lone Star State. During most of his younger years, he lived in Dallas. He even studied acting at Dallas Young Actors Studio before finally deciding to move to Los Angeles and pursue his acting dream. He quickly landed a job as a recurring character on "Run of the House" in 2003, according to his IMDb profile.
2. McDorman is no stranger to TV series
While some may only know him as the guy who will takeover what Bradley Cooper has started in the "Limitless" movie, McDorman is actually an experienced small screen actor, having appeared in in more than 10 TV shows thus far. He has appeared in "Quintuplets," "House M.D.," "CSI: Miami" and "Clark and Michael." He has also made appearances in "Cold Case," "Marcy" and "The Newsroom." For "Shameless" fans, he is the actor who played Mike Pratt and who can forget his starring role as Peter in "Manhattan Love Story?"
3. He is dating a model
Since starring in "Manhattan Love Story," McDorman's real life love story unfolded in front of him in the person of his costar Analeight Tipton. Aside from being on "Crazy, Stupid, Love," Jake's girlfriend is known for being the third runner-up on "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 11, as per Us Weekly.
The romance between the two has remained steady since 2014. They frequently post about each other on their social media accounts. Analeigh even retweeted "The Late Late Show" Twitter account's post about his boyfriend's guest appearance, which read "Weee're back! Tonight we've got Andrew Garfield, @LimitlessCBS' Bradley Cooper and @JakeMcDorman plus music from @falloutboy & @wizkhalifa." Check out McDroman and Tipton's post below about their romantic getaway in summer.
4. He is intimidated by Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper
"Limitless" is not going to be the first time McDorman's sharing the screen with Cooper. The two previously worked together in 2014's "American Sniper," which was directed by Clint Eastwood. In an interview with Vogue last year, Jake admitted to feeling intimidated by the helmer and his co-actor.
"It's intimidating working with Clint, working on a true story, working with Bradley especially," he said before adding that the latter's "neck was the size of his hamstring. It looked like someone ate Bradley Cooper."
5. Despite starring in "Limitless" the series, he is not taking the NZT
In the upcoming CBS' TV show sequel of 2011's hit "Limitless," Jake McDorman is Brian Sinclair and he is bound to discover the effects of the NZT drug just like Cooper's Eddie Morra, who is already a senator in the TV sequel. In real life however, the 29-year-old is not considering taking the drug though it is tempting.
Asked if he is taking the NZT if it would make him an exponentially better actor, he said, "It's tempting. But I wouldn't want it. I'd rather muddle through with what I've got... So thank you very much, but I think I'll pass," as quoted by Star-Telegram.
