Fetty Wap, an American rapper with a net worth value of $2 million, was reportedly involved in a shocking motorcycle accident in his hometown on Saturday. According to the reports, he is currently treated at a local hospital and is in a stable condition.
On Sept. 26, Fetty Wap has gotten into a motorcycle accident. According to TMZ, the 25-year-old rapper was on his motorcycle and tried overtaking one vehicle. Unfortunately, he didn't see another car coming in the opposite direction and got hit. The incident took place in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey while he was cruising through a residential neighborhood.
Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was reportedly injured and was taken to the hospital. Hollywood Life noted that the authorities in Patterson is currently investigating the accident. And based on the latest update, the rapper was responsive when the paramedics arrived at the scene. A source close to the Wap also added that he was awake and talking at the hospital and appears to be okay. The doctors were also running tests for any possible fractures.
The "Trap Queen" hitmaker was rising alone when the accident transpired. And hours later, Fetty Wap's friend Jhonni Blaze from "Love & Hip Hop New York" shared a photo of the rapper on Instagram with a leg brace and arm wrap on. As per Daily Mail, she captioned her post, saying the singer was okay.
As for his motorcycle, which is a black-and-white Suzuki bike, it was seen on the ground with a shattered front end and pieces of the exterior were scattered on the road. It has remained unclear if Wap was wearing a helmet or not.
The accident came after Fetty Wap, whose current net worth stands at $2 million, appeared at SiriusXM in New York City to promote his self-titled album, "Fetty Wap," which was released on Friday. As reported, he was wearing the same clothes he had on during the shocking accident.
Meanwhile, Fetty Wap is best known for his 2014 sing, "Trap Queen." Celebrity Net Worth revealed that the single reached the top spot on the U.S. Rap charts and the top 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and U.S. R&B Charts. His single was also certified Platinum.
Last year, Fetty Wap further boosts his net worth by signing a contract with 300 Entertainment. He has also released mixtapes and collaborated with other artists. He's currently wearing an ocular prosthesis (glass eye) after he suffered from glaucoma as a child, and doctors were not able to save his left eye.
