"Captain America: Civil War" actor Chris Evan revealed the reason of Captain America and Iron Man's feud during the 2015 Salt Lake Comic Con, ABC News reported. After the catastrophic "Ultron" event, the government wanted all the superheroes to sign accords and have their powers registered.
Evans' Captain A and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, apparently, have different point of views. It caused a faction between the two superheroes, forcing their friends to choose sides as well.
"Tony actually thinks we should be signing these accords and reporting to somebody," Evans said.
On the other hand, Steve Rogers, who's been a company man and a soldier, has trust issues. After what happened in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," where SHIELD and the government intruded by Hydra, it makes sense why the Cap doesn't easily give out his trust to anybody.
"Given what happened in Cap 2, I think he kind of feels the safest hands are his own," he added.
The "Captain America: Civil War" lead continued stating that the Cap had his reasons and his concerns are understandable. It was tough, but he made it clear that the choice they made didn't necessarily mean one becomes a bad guy — nobody's right or wrong.
"There's no clear bad guy here. We both have a point of view, which is akin to most disagreements in life and politics," Evans said, as per the report of The Salt Lake Tribune.
Evans described Captain America as a good man with probably the cleanest moral compass. Anthony Mackie, who was also at the Salt Lake Comic Con, thought that Evans had brought so much dignity and respect to that character, that's why he said that there shouldn't be any Captain A outside of Evans.
Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War," which is under the tutelage of the Anthony and Joe Russo, is slated for a May 6, 2016 release, according to SuperHeroHype.
Joining the cast are Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Don Cheadle as The War Machine, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
