Kevin Durant is going to the Los Angeles Lakers; at least, that's according to Stephen A. Smith.
The Oklahoma City Thunder star may not yet be a free agent, but, he's already eyeing several destinations if ever he does not re-sign with his current team.
According to Bleacher Report, KD may be leaning toward making a move to Hollywood. ESPN First Take correspondent Stephen A. Smith said, "Regardless of how senseless it may (sound), in one breath I'm hearing that if Kevin Durant doesn't stay in Oklahoma City, L.A. is his primary objective and landing spot as opposed to South Beach or even his home of Washington, D.C."
The Lakers, of course, currently features a young roster with aging superstar, Kobe Bryant. With Kobe rumored to be in his final years, it seems that Durant can be the next torch bearer for the Lakers franchise.
In a related report by Fox Sports, the Lakers are one of the most enticing franchise to play for as they have a rich tradition of winning added to the fact that they have a young and very talented core players of Julius Randle, D' Angelo Russell and All-Rookie First Team, Jordan Clarkson.
But NBC Sports are doubtful about this rumor as Durant said before to not trust any rumors about his free agency if it did not come from him, his agent or his manager.
Durant said, "I've got two people that I trust with my life, my agent and my manager, who's my best friend as well. I trust them with my life. So if you hear sources or anything, don't believe it if it didn't come from them. I tell them everything. We bounce ideas off each other. We collaborate on a lot of different things."
He added, "They give me advice. So throughout this year, if you hear sources from anybody, it's not true, unless you hear it from Charlie Bell, Rich Kleiman or Kevin Durant."
