Finally, the day has arrived for the return of "Bones" Season 11! And on its Episode 1, new and exciting crime-busting adventures are waiting for the comeback of Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) in the Jeffersonian team.
As "Bones" Season 11 Episode 1 premieres tonight, here are 3 scoops to shake things up in the season premiere of the Jeffersonian team's comeback.
1. What's the state of the lab when the events of "Bones" Season 11 Episode 1 kick off?
Even though the lab has been functioning as it would without Brennan, Arastoo will take over her role.
"Arastoo has taken over and is helping out with cases," showrunner Michael Peterson told The Hollywood Reporter. "We'll see, especially by the second episode, that it is not the same without her. She's the best in her field and it's going to be something that we're going allude to more as the season goes on that there have been more unsolved cases."
2. Brennan and Agent Grace Miller (Kim Raver) tense encounter
Things in the two-part season premiere, which will begin in "Bones" Season 11 Episode 1 entitled, "The Loyalty In The Lie," Brennan's meeting with Miller will become tense as she asks Brennan questions about Booth's emotional state since he suddenly went missing, Latin Post revealed.
"You are asking strictly emotional questions. It is well documented that emotions are not my area of expertise," Brennan said in the teaser. "My conclusion is that you were deliberately attempting to make me feel uncomfortable in order to extract something you think I am hiding. If that is the case, I no longer choose to participate in this discussion."
3. "Bones" Season 11 Episode 1 theme
Peterson hinted that the destiny and purpose will be one of the overarching themes in the upcoming season.
"The theme that we're exploring is you can't escape fate..." Peterson told Entertainment Weekly. "They're meant to be doing what they're doing, and we're going to embrace that for all of our characters and really get back to the essence of who they are."
