Apple’s MacBook Air 2016 is already making a huge buzz in the technology arena since many have high expectations for the upcoming laptop from the Cupertino-headquartered tech giant. Aside from the specs and features, consumers are also looking forward for the device’s release date.
As the end of 2015 draws near, rumors and speculations about the MacBook Air 2016 are slowly peaking online, with incessant reports on the things it will or it will not be sporting when it gets revealed to the public emerging every now and then.
Thus far, the major upgrades with the MacBook Air 2016 that are known to Australia Network News are the NVIDIA GPU - GeForce GTX 950M and the Skylake-U Processor that are sure to make the new MacBook a great deal for heavy users, such as people who have heavy-duty gaming needs.
With the NVIDIA GPU and the Skylake processor, the MacBook Air 2016 does not only get improved performance, it also promises longer battery life — things that most consumers are considering whenever they make a laptop purchase.
Other note-worthy features and specs of the upcoming Apple laptop are the Retina display, the USB Type-C port and the Force Touch technology which are also expected to be showcased in Apple's MacBook Pro 2016.
There are also reports stating that out of the box, the MacBook Air 2016 will be running on OS X El Capitan. Taking the rumors to the extremes however is a speculation that the 2016 MacBook Air will come with high-tech wireless charging, which should be treated with a grain of salt.
Unfortunately, while the hype over the new MacBook Air continues to increase, there is still no fixed date on when this laptop will arrive in the market. Venture Capital Post stated that fans can expect the news about the laptop's release to surface when the 2015 models start to shrink.
Previously, it was thought that Apple would be unveiling the MacBook Air 2016 and the MacBook Pro 2016 in September, but to no avail. So now tech sites and analysts are looking at a 2016 release.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to steal the spotlight from Apple's MacBook Air, LG has released its new laptop called Gram, which is a direct competitor to the Cupertino company's slim laptop.
The Gram is the same size as the MacBook Air but is a pound heaver. Its 13-inch version shells for $900, and this Windows 10-running device comes with an Intel Core i5 Processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD, as per CIO.
