Yikes? “The Good Wife” is actually the bad wife? Looks like Julianna Margulies has some explaining to do now that Archie Panjabi has addressed their CGI-ed finale scene in the hit CBS legal drama that fuelled rumors of the two of them feuding.
On Monday, actress Archie Panjabi, who played badass Kalinda Sharma in CBS' "The Good Wife" since day one to Season 6, took to Twitter to expose the lies that lead star Julianna Margulies said. And Panjabi did not just do a cryptic message on this one. She instead put the link to the interview that featured Margulies and posted an answer that surprised show fans.
Panjabi wrote: "@TheFallTV was not even in production at the time and I was in New York ready to film the scene!" And just that, Margulies' lies were exposed.
Fans of the ex-"Good Wife" star quickly echoed their thoughts over Panjabi's words that obviously confirmed the rumors that spiralled when "The Good Wife" Season 6 aired its finale episode that featured a CGI-ed scene between the two female lead stars.
"Expose her, Archie! Why on earth would Robert King ever WANT to shoot a split screen? Makes no sense!" Twitter user @neonprince wrote.
"I'm so disappointed in Juliana (sic) Margulies. It's pretty obvious there IS animosity on her part," @TheHorsesMoiuths commented.
"So the feud is very much real! Kalinda should have had her spin-off! For as much as I love Julianna she has let me down," @EmpiresWitch noted.
Panjabi's post was a direct response to "The Good Wife" lead actress Julianna Margulies words in an interview with Vulture during the New Yorker Festival on Sunday.
In an attempt to clarify the rumors that she and Panjabi had been in a hush-hush feud behind the camera which even led to the makers doing camera trick in the finale scene, Margulies said, "Right, I've heard about [the feud]. Who says that? It's totally gossip."
The Alicia Florrick actress then continued: "I feel people just like to have gossip or make something into something that isn't there. There's no animosity on my part. "
Finally, explaining why they had to CGI the finale scene that saw the reunion between Alicia and Kalinda, Julianna said, "It was shot the way Robert wanted to shoot it, and the story line, too. You also have to remember, there's difficulty ... [Panjabi] was also doing another show, called 'The Fall.' I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do and I did it happily," as quoted by Daily Mail.
While Julianna Margulies have yet to address Archie Panjabi's tweet, there are those who remain hopeful that the former "Good Wife" co-stars can patch things up just like what their characters did before Kalinda left Alicia at the bar.
