As Teresa Giudice’s prison release draws near, more and more updates on the things she’s been through while serving her time are surfacing lately. While her fans are saddened by the time Teresa has been spending away from her family, the silver lining is the fact that they are to reunite again this Christmas.
This week, People learned that Teresa got in touch with her eldest daughter Gia while still locked up at the detention facility, where she's been staying since January.
Gia did an interview with "Watch What Happens Live" and she revealed that it was a struggle to call her 43-year-old mother in jail. "My mom doesn't want me or anyone to get emotional, so I try my best just to keep it all together," she said.
Teresa Giudice is serving her 15-month time over fraud charges, but the sentence has since been shortened by two months. This means Teresa could soon become a free woman once again.
Teresa is mom to four kids: Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana, so it definitely feels like an eternity for them to be separated, as per In Touch Weekly.
However, Joe Giudice's wife's prayers may have been answered when her attorney managed to secure an early release date for her and it's in time for the Christmas season.
"Several months back we were able to secure an early release date of Dec. 23," attorney James L. Leonard Jr. said.
The attorney went on to say, "That means Teresa will leave the prison on Dec. 23 and go home and sleep in her own bed. Two days later she will wake up and celebrate Christmas with Joe and her girls."
Meanwhile, there is also word about Teresa heading to a halfway house before she finally reunites with her family, especially with her kids.
Radar Online got a scoop about the issue via an insider who is claiming that the reality star won't go to a halfway house after being released from prison.
"Teresa won't be required to go to a halfway house because that is typically for those that have been behind bars for a much longer terms than the thirteen months Teresa will have served," said the insider.
Speaking of her free life, a tipster revealed where Teresa could work after serving her time in jail. "Teresa could absolutely work there," the tipster said referring to the "RHONJ" star's sister-in-law Melissa George's New Jersey boutique.
"It would be a natural because both ladies will be filming for RHONJ. The show would get great footage of them working together," the tipster finally added.
On the other hand, come Oct. 11, fans of Teresa could see more of her and her husband in the "Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In" which airs on the said date at 11 p.m. on Bravo.
