Rosie O’Donnell Devastated Over Daughter Chelsea’s Confession; Former ‘The View’ Host’s Two-Sided Persona Revealed!

Rosie O'Donnell was devastated over her adopted daughter's shocking confession on Tuesday. Chelsea O'Donnell, the 18-year-old daughter of the former "The View" host, revealed her relationship with 53-year-old comedienne through an article published in Daily Mail.

In her interview, Rosie O'Donnell's daughter claimed that her adoptive mother seemed to be someone with a two-sided persona. She even revealed that she's closer to her former nannies than she is to Rosie.

"I find her not genuine a lot of the time," she said, as per Us Weekly. "When we'd go out, she was a completely different person in public than at home and I had a hard time with that. I feel she should be her real self, who she really is. She has this public persona; she will put this big smile on her face and try to be funny. She would always go up to people and want to hold their babies in public. She had this happy, friendly side to her."

Chelsea O'Donnell is one of the four children Rosie shared with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter. She also has adopted one child with ex-wife, Michelle Rounds.

Chelsea's confession is not the only evidence that her relationship with Rosie O'Donnell has been more strained than ever. In August, New York Daily News revealed that Chelsea went missing for almost two weeks before being found with a man named Steven M. Sheerer, her 25-year-old boyfriend whom she reportedly met on the mobile dating app Tinder. Since Chelsea was only 17 at the time, Sheerer was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. However, Daily Mail reported that she's currently living with Sheerer and his family in Barnegat Township, N.J.

In Rosie O'Donnell's blog post, which has been deleted already, O'Donnell asked the public for help to find her missing daughter, who she claimed was suffering from mental health issues. Chelsea denied the claim but admitted she has a history of depression and anxiety. She also stressed that she does not consider herself ill.

"I wouldn't say I'm mentally ill — I would say lots of people struggle with what I have," she said.

Meanwhile, Rosie O'Donnell has finally broke her silence about her daughter's claims. Her rep told E! News that the comedienne felt the whole article was "heartbreaking on every level."
