"Power Rangers" Pink Ranger now has an actress.
The last few days saw reports coming from “Power Rangers” the movie that's reportedly been conducting screen testing on who would fit the following Rangers role. The search came to an end for one character after actress Naomi Scott was chosen among the select few to don the suit of the Pink Ranger. One Ranger down, 5 more to go.
It’s been 18 years after the last “Power Rangers” movie debuted in 1993. “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” followed with the same title for the movie which was released in 1995.
The “Power Rangers” series and movie dwelt on the lives of six teenagers who were suddenly given the task of fighting the world’s extraterrestrial enemies. Movie Pilot reported the original cast included Karan Ashley, Steve Cardenas, Johnny Yong Bosch, Jason David Frank, David Yost and Amy Jo Johnson.
Lionsgate and Saban have decided that for this new generation of “Power Rangers,” the best option for the reboot of the well-loved franchise would be fresh faces to play the heroes. Cinema Blend reported the production revealed through their official Twitter account that the lucky girl who will play Kimberly Hart aka Pink Ranger is no other than Naomi Scott.

1. Naomi Scott is a British actress.
According to IMDb, the 22-year-old stunner was born in London, England and is of English and Indian descent.
2. Naomi Scott has done a couple of movies already.
“Power Rangers” Pink Ranger actress has appeared most recently in Matt Damon’s “The Martian” as Ryoko. Other films she has done included: “The 33,” “Hello, Again,” “Our Lady of Lourdes” and “Modern/Love.” Naomi Scott has also made appearances on several TV series, such as “By Any Means,” the sci-fi “Terranova” and the Disney Channel UK “Life Bites,” as per IMDb.
3. The “Power Rangers” Pink Ranger star is also a singer.
Naomi Scott started singing in her British Church Youth Band and was eventually signed by Kelly Bryan, a British pop singer. Her first EP with the title “Invisible Division” was released after her performance in “Lemonade Mouth,” as per Movie Pilot.
