LeBron James, currently the best player in the NBA and Cleveland Cavaliers, was recently spotted wearing his old jersey number, leading to outrageous speculations that he will return to the Miami Heat.
According to Yahoo! Sports, James was seen during a Cavaliers practice rocking his number "6" jersey. Fans may recall that during 2010, the 4-time MVP held a TV special called "The Decision" which he used to announce that he will be "taking his talents to South Beach."
When he arrived at Miami, he quickly changed his jersey number from "23" to "6" and said that the reason for the change was to honor and defer to Michael Jordan.
However, when he came back to the Cavs last season, James immediately went back to using the number "23" which prompted some critics to notice his changing mind.
With James rocking number "6" again, sports columnist are making a joke that he will be leaving Cleveland for the Heat, the moment he becomes a free agent.
However, in a related report by ESPN, it seems James will be staying with the Cavs for quite some time as he said in an interview that he will still be leading the team.
In addition, James quipped, "I will lead this team, but I don't have to carry it," indicating that the team will feature more contributions from other players such as All-Star players Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
James, Love and Irving also seem to be having fun with their team as they just recently starred in a hilarious NBA commercial, Complex has reported.
The ad features the Cavs' "Big Three" walking dramatically in a desert, leading their supporters to the Promised Land that has a big Larry O'Brien trophy.
The ad obviously refers to the Cavaliers quest to finally end its 51-year championship drought and win its first title.
