“Reign” Season 3 is premiering on The CW tonight and one cast members that most fans are thrilled to see again is Torrance Coombs. However, not everyone knows a lot about the Canadian actor. Thus, we bring you these five interesting factors about the man playing Sebastian “Bash” Valuar in The CW’s period drama.
1. He is the oldest among the trio lead stars
If it's among the three main lead actors of "Reign" — meaning Coombs, Adelaide Kane and Toby Regbo — you might be surprised that Coombs is actually way older than the Mary Stuart actress and the Dauphin Francis actor. In real life, Torrance is already 32, while Kane is 25 and Regbo is only 23. It's amazing that Mr. Coombs appear not as old as his real age. Well, aren't all CW actors like this to begin with?
2. He has appeared in a number of TV series
The "Reign" Season 3 has actually been gracing the small screen for a long time now. He first appeared in Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles' "Supernatural" back in 2007. Since then he has appeared in a couple more of TV shows, such as "jPod," "Battlestar Galactica," "The Tudors," "Haven," "Endgame" and "Heartland." He has also starred in the made-for-TV-movies "Kits" and "Stay with Me," as listed in his IMDb profile.
3. He is already engaged
Sorry ladies! This CW heartthrob is already taken. Just this June, he surprised the world and broke many female fans hearts when his engagement to longtime girlfriend Alyssa Campanella surfaced. At the time, he just subtly announced the engagement news to his Instagram followers by posting a snap of him and his former Miss USA fiancée already sporting an engagement band, as per Daily Mail. They have been together for many years now, with the actor being the most proud man in the planet when Campanella was crowned Miss USA in 2011.
4. He finds filming sex scenes to be very weird
Since its debut, "Reign" has been a hot topic among fans not only because of its gripping storyline and elegant costumes, the show has also been receiving a lot of thumbs up or raised eyebrows every once in a while when there's physical contact involved among characters. When Coombs was interviewed by TheWrap, he admitted that there is something really weird about filming the sex scenes for the show.
"So it's weird...we can decapitate that guy and blood spurts everywhere, but when I have a thrusting motion that's a no-no... To me, there's a disconnect there, but yeah...it's weird trying to have sex with somebody and not thrust," he said in an interview.
5. He has this hot look on his face
Well, no need to elaborate on this one. Let the hot photos speak for themselves.
