As the 2016 Presidential Bid campaign gets intense, Ivanka Trump, the 33-year-old daughter of Republican presidential hopeful and business mogul Donald Trump, recently slammed criticisms that her father made insulting comments about women and their looks.
On Wednesday, Trump Organization Executive Vice President Ivanka Trump told CNN's Poppy Harlow that the controversies about her dad were sensationalized and largely orchestrated by the media. She also stressed that her father will be "amazing" and "incredible" for the women in the United States.
"Look, my father is very blunt," Ivanka said, as per CNN. "He's very direct. He is not gender specific in his criticism of people, and people that he doesn't particularly like or people that he does like but thinks they're wrong on a particular issue. So I don't think that he's gender-targeted at all. Like I said, I wouldn't be the person I am today, I wouldn't be a high-level executive within his organization if he felt that way."
When it comes to her dad's presidential run, however, Ivanka Trump revealed that her relationship with Donald is quite complicated, Daily Mail reported.
"I'm incredibly proud of him," she said, according to Politico. "As a citizen I love what he's doing, as a daughter, it's obviously more complicated."
