Dolly Parton On Symptoms Of Stomach Cancer — 'Treatments Haven’t Worked'

Dolly Parton, the reigning Queen of Country, was reported to be showing symptoms of stomach cancer in addition to a diagnosis of kidney stones.

And as reported by WREG News Channel, Parton was secretly hospitalized and noted that, "So far, the [kidney stone] treatments haven't worked."

The source further said, "She's undergoing more testing. The scary thing is she has the symptoms of stomach cancer — and this is what she could be hiding," and added, "she's in unbelievable pain."

However, as reported by Page Six, the 69 year old Country singer quickly clarified her condition on her official website. She was reported as saying, "It is true that I had kidney stones, I had them removed three weeks ago and I am doing just fine!"

She added, "I am back to work and last week I was at Dollywood filming parts for my new movie 'Coat of Many Colors,' which premieres December 10th on NBC."

"With the 30th Anniversary of Dollywood, I did a full week of activities promoting my new DreamMore Resort's opening. There is absolutely no truth at all that I have stomach cancer. I love and appreciate everyone's concern." A report by TMZ also confirmed the reports that Parton was just doing fine.

Dolly Parton besides being known as the Queen of Country, also does a lot of charity work. Parton, known for her strong advocacy of childhood literacy, is known in particular for her "Imagination Library" program which provide kids under 5 years of age, a free book every month.

She was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and has composed over 3,000 songs, including the song "I Wll Always Love You," which is often attributed to the late R&B singer Whitney Houston.
