The 1967 Mustang continues to show its beauty, even after 48 years the first time it was released. Fans and car journalists agree, even after all these years, it's still one of the best cars ever built by man.
To this day, many enthusiasts are rebuilding or restoring 1967 Mustangs of various condition. As reported by Hot Rod, getting Mustang fans to agree on what a perfect car build-up is would be impossible.
Fortunately, the people from Total Cost Involved Engineering of Ontario, Cal. have assembled a 1967 Mustang fastback with the intention of showing what a Mustang should be.
To refresh your memory, the 1967 Ford Mustang has a myriad of engine choices back then, but for the purpose of optimum performance, the top-of-the-line Mustang Cobra is equipped with a 7.0-liter, 4-barrel engine that produces 335 units of break horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.
And back then, as noted by Motrolix, the Mustang was almost made as a mid-engine instead of the usual front-engine car.
Furthermore, in a similar report by Half Moon Bay Review, a woman from Half Moon Bay, called "Mustang Missy Perez," also rebuilt her own 1967 Mustang, which is taking her 11 years to complete.
She proudly recalls the moment her father bought the car, just for the purpose of learning automotive work way back when she was just 16 years old.
However, it turned out more than just that as she's now firing on all cylinders, just to restore the glory of her 1967 Ford Mustang.
She said, "We knew we were going to rebuild the whole thing." Apart from her Mustang, she and her father also own a few muscle car classics like the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, a 1970's Plymouth Barracuda and an incoming 1967 Pontiac GTO.
Her love for muscle cars is very obvious as she said, "For me, a muscle car — the sound, the look, what it stands for, It's beautiful, amazing — you can do so much more with it. You can make it your car."
