Kobe Bryant reportedly left a game in a rush and immediately went to the side of his dying friend and former team mate, Lamar Odom.
And according to CBS Sports, Bryant also accompanied Odom's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian. As noted, it was found out that the former Laker is currently "fighting for his life" and is hooked up to a life support apparatus.
Following a Tuesday night's exhibition between the Lakers and Sacramento Kings in Vegas, the 37 year old guard was accompanied by the team's general manager Mitch Kupchak, on the way to the hospital.
In a related report by People, the incident started when Odom was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada.
Apart from Bryant and Khloe, family matriarch Kris Jenner and reality star Kim Kardashian were also by Odom's side.
A source close to the Kardashian family said, "Everyone has dropped everything to get there, they are asking their close friends to pray for Lamar, for healing and strength."
Among the other people who also offered their support to Odom was Miami Heat star, Dwayne Wade who sent his well wishes at social media and said, "PRAYERS all the way UP for my brother Lamar Odom!!!"
He later added, "I can't help but be up right now thinking about my ex-teammate/friend LO...On my knees praying...please God let him pull through."
But he was not done yet as the following morning, Wade followed it up by saying, "I pray ths morning for my brother. Dear God he's one of the good ones. PLEASE watch over him and listen to his heart speak #PrayersForLamar."
Regarding the former NBA player's health, TMZ reported that his condition is essentially the same, in a coma with a heart falling, but still alive.
