As Teresa Giudice's freedom becomes imminent, the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is set to release a memoir, depicting her 15-month prison life ordeal at the federal institution in Danbury, Connecticut. While she was mostly shaken by her prison experience, Giudice revealed the worst part of her prison stay was being away from her family.
Giudice is about to end serving her 15-month-sentence after she was convicted of fraud. According to People, she spent most of her time writing a tell-all memoir entitled "Turning The Tables," a collaboration with the magazine's staff writer K.C. Baker. She is also reportedly teaching her inmates exercise classes and has formed a solid group. However, she's been struggling because of the isolation from her family.
"It's really hard for her to be away from Joe and the girls," a source close to the reality star revealed. "That's the hardest part."
While Teresa Giudice's husband Joe and their children, 14-year-old Gia, 10-year-old Gabriella, 9-year-old Milania and 6-year-old Audriana, visit her as often as they can and even get limited phone call privileges, these still weren't enough for a mom like her.
"She gets limited phone calls," an insider explained. "She has 300 minutes a month. That isn't enough when you're a mom trying to talk to your kids."
Meanwhile as Teresa Giudice comes out of prison on Dec. 23, she will be sharing her journey in her memoir, which will begin with her upbringing in a humble Italian-American home and will journey into her life as a mother to four daughters, a wife to husband Joe, their lavish life and how she eventually wound up in prison, E! News revealed.
"While we've all watched Teresa's life unfold on television, 'Turning the Tables' will mark the first time we will hear all of Teresa's incredible life story, including her recent stint in prison," publisher Jennifer Bergstrom said.
Meanwhile, Teresa Giudice's life behind bars is also shown on the 3-part special titled, "Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In," which started airing on Oct. 11 on Bravo. As for her memoir, Daily Mail revealed it will hit shelves on Feb. 9, 2016.
