Apple MacBook Air Vs Microsoft Surface Book is another matchup between two tech giants Apple and Microsoft. And it's as if the "Mac vs PC" debate isn't enough to make you crazy, here come's Microsoft's latest offering, the Surface Book challenging Apple's MacBook for laptop dominance.
Let's face it. Currently, Apple's MacBook has the distinct advantage since it's already the dominant laptop in the market right now. Although some may argue that Microsoft-powered laptop was first, this is only the first time that the Windows OS maker made its own branded laptop.
Apple Macbook Air
As reported by Laptop Mag, Apple's MacBook Air boasts an excellent battery life, strong overall performance, good storage, comfortable keyboard and of course, a sleek and classy design.
Inside, it boasts a 5th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 6000. Purists may scoff and tell you that these are hardly POWERFUL specs but let's be honest, Apple doesn't exactly slap its computers with the latest and highest hardware available, but it optimizes the specs available to its OS, thereby making the performance smooth even with the lack of actual fire power.
Microsoft Surface Book
Now it gets interesting. Since Microsoft is the new kid on the block, it wants to give you the shock value on what it can do and what it can give. For the processor, you have a choice between a 6th-Gen Intel Core i5 or i7.
As for the graphics, the i5 has the Intel HD Graphics 520 while the i7 has the NVIDIA GeForce GPU with 1GB of memory to boot. The Surface Book's RAM is amazing too as you can either have an 8GB or 16GB of RAM.
The availability is a factor too as the newest Apple Macbook Air is already here, while the Microsoft Surface Book is just about to start shipping according to CNET.
Picking between these too awesome laptops can be quite hard as they both offer different features. To be fair, nothing is better than the other one, so it will all boil down to your computer needs.
