Conflicting stories are coming from Lindsay Lohan and a former GOP congressional aide she met at a bar over what happened in her hotel room that night.
Both Lohan and Christian LaBella have filed harassment charges against each other after a nightcap turned into a tussle over some sneaky cellphone pics.
Allegedly, as all these kinds of incidents tend to be, Lohan met LaBella at 1Oak nightclub and invited him and a friend back to her hotel room.
While there, LaBella, who has a habit of posting photos of himself with celebrities and political figures, snapped some pics with his phone's camera that Lohan wasn't happy with. No word on whether he took them without her knowledge or she just didn't like how they turned out.
When Lohan demanded LaBella hand over the phone, he refused, and from there it gets even fuzzier.
Lohan apparently tried to grab the phone, so LaBella "Grabbed and threw her." Lohan ran off and pulled the fire alarm at the W Hotel which summoned the fire department and 911. LaBella was arrested, but later released, and all charges were dropped, since none of Lohan's claims could be corroborated.
According to Lohan's publicist Steve Honig, "Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel. While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized. The assailant was arrested and is currently in police custody. Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation," though that was evidently before the case fell apart.
Lohan is currently on probation for a shoplifting incident in Los Angeles. Earlier in September, she allegedly clipped a pedestrian in her Porsche in New York.
For his part, LaBella seems to be keeping his mouth shut, possibly because he works for Republican Representative John Shimkus of Illinois. LaBella's family isn't so tight-lipped.
His uncle, Peter Jessop, said "He doesn't really understand why this is happening. It's a shame when a celebrity like that can use her publicist to tar a kid who has done nothing wrong," he told the New York Daily News.
