BlackBerry Priv will become available in the market soon, but Carphone Warehouse wanted to get ahead its competitors. This mobile retailer based in the United Kingdom not only unveiled the specs, features and price of the new smartphone, it is also now accepting pre-orders.
BlackBerry Priv is running on a Snapdragon 808 chip with Qualcomm 1.8 GHz dual core and a quad core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, plus an Adreno 418 GPU, GSM Arena has learned. It reportedly comes with 3GB RAM, with a 32GB internal storage that can be expanded to 2TB via micro SD card.
It was also revealed that the BlackBerry Priv runs on Android 5.1.1. (Lollipop) operating system and is powered by a 3410mAh battery, according to Gadgets360. The device, which has a 5.4-inch QHD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 and sharpness of 540 ppi, boasts an 18MP rear shooter and a 2MP front-facing camera.
One feature that would remind everybody that it's a BlackBerry phones is its QWERTY keyboard. The feature was shown in the video demonstration on TNW News' report.
Other than the numerous apps available at Google Play store, the device reportedly features an exclusive BlackBerry warning system app providing the user with power of privacy.
Carphone Warehouse offers BlackBerry Priv for £579.99, sim-free. It also has a separate deal with United Kingdom carriers like O2, Vodafone and EE, which has a lock-in period.
The retailer also offers a free delivery — order before 5 p.m. A Saturday delivery is also an option but there is £7.50 charge.

BlackBerry Priv will be released on Nov. 6 in the U.K. The official release information of the smartphone in the United States has yet to be confirmed by BlackBerry.
