‘Need for Speed’ To Experience Big Changes Even Before Official Release? Player Feedback To Shape The Future Of The First Ever ‘Living Game’

The new "Need for Speed" has yet to arrive, but Electronic Arts is already making changes to the upcoming game.

As reported by Game Spot, the "Need for Speed" beta allowed EA and developer Ghost Games to test out the technical side of the game and gave loyal fans a chance to try out the series reboot and provide them with some useful feedback. The feedback will then be used to tweak the game for a more improved final result.

Ghost Games shared some of the ways the game will change in response to the beta phase feedback. Some of the complaints include the rate at which the players progress through the game. It des not take long for players to amass a sizeable collection of customized vehicles.

The developer said, "The economy, both money and REP, continue to be balanced and on launch you will find progression is now at a more normal pace."

In addition, PlayStation Lifestyle has noted that the developer will also tweak the competitiveness of its AI saying, "A number of you mentioned the speed in which the AI drove and their competitiveness. This is also something that has been tweaked and improved upon for the full release,"

Ghost added, "When you hit the streets of Ventura Bay at launch you'll find AI competitors aren't as propelled by rocket fuel as they were at times during the Closed Beta."

Video Gamer noted that "Need for Speed" will also receive a new option requested by the community that mirrors a design in the game's "Wrap Editor," which will be delivered in a future content update.

According to reports, these changes are just the beginning, and the developer explains that as a "Living Game," the feedback from players will continue to change and shape the future of "Need for Speed."

"Need for Speed" launches on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Nov. 5, while the PC version is expected to come out in early 2016.
