The winning numbers for Tuesday's draw were 6, 25, 35, 38 and 52, while the Mega Ball was 4. The Megaplier was also 4. Aside from nobody got all the numbers right, no one also got the five white balls correct which could have provided winner with $1 million.
On the other hand, Michigan Live has learned that 28 lucky lottery ticket holders got the 4 White Balls with the Gold Mega Ball right. They all won $5,000, while two players brought home $20,000 for getting the Megaplier boost.
Thus far, 11 drawings for the Mega Millions have been held, but no one still won the millions worth jackpot prize of the draw.The last time a player got all of the Mega Millions winning numbers right was on Sept. 11. The Mega Millions lottery is played in 44 states of the country, including the District of Columbia as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands. The balls are drawn at 11 p.m. and the sale of tickets are temporarily closed 15 minutes before drawing time.
Meanwhile, an alarming news was released by The BayNet.com ahead of Oct. 23's draw. According to the site, an online scam is making rounds online and it is claiming that "Mega Millions is giving free $1 million jackpot online instantly."
Officials of the Maryland Lottery have already debunked this hoax and have since warned people not to click or access the link that comes along with this notice because it is not from them.
The links to watch out for are megamillioncheck.com and megamillioncheque.com. Both are not at all affiliated to the Mega Millions lottery, said the officials. And in case you have been a victim, they are strongly suggesting that you call 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357) right away.
