A superstar that goes through the same struggle like any other ordinary person; Nicole Kidman is no stranger to heart breaks, depression, infertility and failed marriages. The actress candidly opens up in the 20th -anniversary Australian edition of WHO revealing intimate details about her struggle with depression after her divorce with Tom cruise whom she tied the knot when she was just 23.
The 45-year-old A-Lister talks about how she went through the loneliest existence leading to depression after the marriage ended with Tom Cruise, saying "I got married really fast and really young," "Then, when it didn't work out, I had to really dig deep and find my way through depression. But I have no regrets about all of it. "It was all part of growing up." The actress goes on saying, she doesn't regret about her relationship with Cruise, because "It got me Bella and Conner," the two children she adopted with Cruise during her 10 year union that she calls "a fantastic marriage for a long period."
In the interview with Diane Sawyer after her divorce in 2001, the actress confessed to Sawyer that she refuses to make the break up with Tom a bitter experience and she completely believes in Love and love she found with the country crooner and fellow Aussie Keith Urban in 2006 with whom she has two daughters.
Kidman said, " I've had an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages and I've had fertility treatments" I've done all the stuff you can possible do to try to get pregnant". The actress calls her surprise pregnancy with daughter Sunday "the miracle of my life" because the percentages were so low.
Meanwhile, Kidman is even talking about Cruise's latest divorce with Holmes clearing up buzz that Kidman has counseled Cruise's ex-wife Katie Holmes on divorce.
"I never spoke to her," Kidman tells Australia's who magazine, a sister publication of People magazine. "I wish all of them well, but I was not involved in any of that.
Now, with her latest movie 'Paperboy' to be released October 5, the actress has nothing to look back but look forward to the role she stood out not only for her stripping role in the film but standing by what she believes, when it comes to using the N-word. Looking ravishing in Dior dress and L'Wren Scott heels, the actress with her husband hit the red carpet last night for a Film Society tribute to Nicole as part of the New York Film Festival.
The film, directed by Lee Daniels apparently portrayed Kidman like she's never been seen before, performing as Charlotte Bless, a daring Southern woman who engages in erotic correspondence with a death row inmate and then fights to prove his innocence. The movie thriller is based on the novel by Peter Dexter that was inspired by a true story, "The Paperboy".
At a press conference Wednesday, the actress mentioned about her refusal to say racial slur in the film, when director Lee Daniels wanted her to use the n-word, but didn't. "I didn't feel like it was right for the character," then after a second, "I have a son who's African American and I just didn't feel it was right. It wasn't right." She added, "What I try to do as an actor is fulfilling a director's vision. I have opinions, but at the same time I'm not there to stop him from anything. I've really tried to do that in every film. I never want to pull them off their vision."
Apparently, the film producers urged Daniels not to push Kidman too far on the script slur - because she was really taking risks in other parts of the movie.
Kidman and Keith, who wed in 2006, have two daughters together Sunday Rose 4, and Faith, 2 and Kidman's two older kids with Cruise, Connor and Bella. Her dream, she says, "is to grow very old with her fellow Aussie, who is also her husband.
