Nick Carter and Lauren Kitt are going to be very busy since according to reports, they are going to become parents!
According to Access Hollywood, a source close to the 36-year-old Backstreet Boys and 32-year-old fitness model confirmed that they are indeed expecting their first child.
Although the two have yet to directly address the pregnancy news, the said source told reporters that the couple plans to formally announce the news next week. The source close to the two also said, "They are so happy and overjoyed," and "They've been trying and waiting for such a long time."
In a similar report by Us Magazine, Carter, who married his wife Lauren in April 2014, was reported to have proposed to her way back in 2013 and gave her a 7-carat diamond ring. The wedding ceremony was then held at Santa Barbara, Ca. with his bandmates AJ McLean, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell in attendance.
An eyewitness told Us at the time that the couple shared the longest wedding kiss he have ever seen and said that it was so long that even a full minute later, they were still kissing.
Carter told in an interview last year that he sensed Kitt was the one the minute they first met and said, "I just felt an instant connection, it's like I just wanted to be around her."
We may recall that the couple's relationship and road to marriage was well documented in their hit VH1 reality series, "I Heart Nick Carter."
But before tying the knot, Carter told People that he was scared of settling down and starting a family; however, all of that changed when he met Lauren. He recalled, "I said I'd never get married,"
Speaking about Carter's wedding, his co-Backstreet Boys Aj McLean said, "We're all family. We're all brothers. To see our little baby brother finally make that big, big final step. Next step is having kids. Obviously, they just got married, so obviously take your time."
And obviously, his words came true as the latest news about Nick and Lauren is that they are having a baby.
Apart from preparing himself on becoming a dad, the former boy band phenomenon is devoting a significant amount of his time practicing and filming for the show, "Dancing With the Stars." He is currently a contestant on Season 21 of the hit ABC show and has pro dancer Sharna Burgess as his partner.
