Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani both fresh off from their divorce have been the center of attention because of their developing closeness on the reality show "The Voice." Their playful banter on Jimmy Fallon’s show titillated the senses of their followers and the rumormongers.
According to CelebDirtyLaundry, “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon asked the four coaches of "The Voice" to play a new game called “Spin the Microphone” which is like “Spin The Bottle” to which Blake Shelton quipped that the musical version of the game was the “stupidest game” he has ever heard.
When the country crooner sang Village People’s 1978 classic song “YMCA,” Gwen Stefani started to flirt with him. Blake Shelton returned the favor by saying that the sound of the buzzer which signaled the start of the duet portion sounded relatively to something sexual. He said, “It sounds like an erection. It does, it does. It sounded like an erection.”
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani then sang Drake’s “Hotline Bling” courtesy of Pharrell Williams who picked a card when the mic landed on him. The No Doubt singer went up the stage with Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband and started singing the lines, “You used to call me on my cell phone / Late night when you need my love / Call me on my cell phone.” Blake Shelton probably having no inkling as to how to the song just butted in with “Bling” while Gwen Stefani was feeling it. The two only have eyes for each other as they were performing.
As for Adam Levine, he sang Britney Spears’ “Oops!... I Did It Again” while Jimmy Fallon and Pharrell Williams belted out a duet of "It Takes Two," as per Perez Hilton.
Meanwhile, rumor has it Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s romance may have a third wheel in the person of the Bajan beauty, Rihanna. CelebDirtyLaundry reported the “Neon Light” singer was apparently dating both talented women. He admitted that he tried to flirt with the “FourFiveSeconds” singer when she appeared on “The Voice” as a guest mentor.
In an Oct. 27 interview in “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” the newly single country singer confessed he was nervous about getting up close with Rihanna and tried to utilize his crazy wit to allure her during their first meeting.
It’s unclear if Blake Shelton was just being funny or if there was some truth to his words. We’ll have to wait and see where his efforts to win Rihanna will lead him.
