iPad Pro will be released on Nov. 11, and many critics believe that this tab will compete with Microsoft's Surface Pro 4. Here are the specs and features of both devices.
iPad Pro will have an A9X processor, 64‑bit architecture with M9 motion coprocessor, which will make it reportedly almost twice as fast as iPad Air 2, and it runs on iOS 9. Meanwhile, the Surface Pro 4 comes in 6th Gen Intel Core m3, i5 or i7 variants, running on Windows 10.
The 12.9-inch Retina screen of iPad has powerful resolution of 2,732 x 2,048 and 264 ppi, according to Tech Times. The slightly smaller 12.3-inch display of Surface Pro 4 has an amazing resolution 2736 x 1824 and 267 ppi.
Apples' newest tab has an 8 MP rear sans flash and a 1.2 MP front-facing camera. Surface Pro 4 has the same 8 MP rear camera, but the secondary camera is higher than iPad Pro, at 5 MP.
iPad Pro has a built-in battery that can last up to ten hours of surfing, watching videos or listening to music, as per Apple.com. Meanwhile, Surface Pro 4's battery life can reportedly last up to nine hours.
What is included in the box other than the iPad Pro are the lightning USB cable and a USB Power Adapter. App Advice reported that there are two optional accessories for this tablet, which are Smart Keyboard that can be purchased at $169 and an Apple Pencil Stylus, which can be purchased at $99.
What's inside the box of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 other than the tab itself are Surface Pen, power supply, quick start guide, and warranty documents. MobileTechReview learned that the keyboard is being sold separately, and comes in two variants — the $129 Standard Type Cover and the $159 version, which adds a fingerprint scanner.
iPad Pro has three models. The Wi-Fi models have two variants, which includes the 32GB priced at $799 and the 128 GB at priced at $949.
There is only one version for the Wi-Fi plus cellular model. The 128GB unit costs $1,079.
Meanwhile, if you want your Surface Pro 4 to run just like a laptop, Microsoft offers the m3 version at $899. If you want to do advance editing in programs like Adobe, there is an i5 version at $999.
If you need to use software like Pro CC3 for professional video editing, or AutoCAD for 3D modelling and design, then Microsoft offers a Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core i7 at $1,599.
Both devices have promising specs, but which one will you choose? Is it the iPad Pro or the Surface Pro 4?
