"Heroes Reborn's" latest episode will witness the unravelling of some of its biggest mysteries and yet another familiar face will appear on the show.
According to the International Business Times, the unfolding mysteries includes the cause of Claire's death and that of her twins. Also, fans will get to see Noah Bennet and Hiro Nakamura time travel to June 13 — the day of the "Odessa explosion" that killed thousands of people.
As noted, the events of the previous episode made Noah realize the reason why he erased his memories regarding the Odessa blast in purpose. The explosion was meticulously planned by Renautas' head Erica Kravid, due to her desire to use the power of the "Evos" or evolved humans, for her own evil goal.
Also in the previous episode, Angela foresaw that Claire's twins, Nathan and Malina, will play a rather important role in thwarting Erica's evil plans. Noah will then request Hiro to take the children back in time in order to save their lives.
Sounds interesting to you? TV By The Numbers said otherwise. According to the ratings report, "Heroes Reborn" started its season with a 2.0 rating in adults aged 18 to 49 years old, which is actually a decent number in the current broadcast environment.
But since then, the performance has not been good. After holding at 1.1 in the two prior weeks and barely keeping its renewal status index, the show dipped further to 1.0 last week. And with those numbers, it seems that fans are headed again for another heart break because it has a good chance of being cancelled...AGAIN.
While "Heroes Reborn" is still above the NBC average, which is not exactly a good thing, pundits are saying that it's headed in the wrong direction. The show was sold as a limited series so NBC can save-face if it does not turn out great and gets axed, which, by the looks of it, is a great possibility.
In a similar report by USA Today, the latest episode of "Heroes Reborn" will see another familiar face — a good reason for loyal fans to tune into this episode.
So far, this so-called "reboot" of the show has yet to recreate the charm of the original series. However, with old faces serving as guest stars, it's interesting to see if the guest shots by four of the original cast will save the show from the chopping block.
Catch "Heroes Reborn's" premiere tonight at 8:00PM ET/PT on NBC.
