Famous Companies That Are Also Pet-Friendly

Allowing your furry balls in the office is beneficial not just to its owner alone, but also to the company's bottom line. Benefits of bringing dogs in the office include increased productivity and morale, lower absenteeism rates, happier employers and even better and improved relationships among co-employees. In fact the Humane Society Organization shared a result of a recent study conducted by Central Michigan University revealing how dogs in the workplace can also lead to more collaboration and trust among team members. Given all these benefits, it is not surprising why there are already a lot of companies that allow their staffs to bring their dogs to their workplace.

Some of these famous companies with enviable pet-friendly policies are:

Amazon

The story of why the company loves dogs started with Rufus. He was the office compatriot behind many paw-clicks at the e-commerce giant. Rufus has been greatly loved by many. That's why when he died, the company decided to name a building after him. Even the doors of that building have his name stamped on it too. The company even created a Help page on their website also named after him. At present, the company is now enjoying a more pet-friendly work culture. They also offer pet perks like dog-friendly drinking fountains on campus and dog biscuits at the reception desk.

Zynga

It is already known to the world that the popular gaming company, Zynga, is one of the most pet-friendly companies out there. They even offer perks to pets like insurance benefits, free food and liberal vacation policies. The company even has this headquarters called "The Dog House" where employees can bring their dogs to work on certain days. According to FastCompany, what most people don't know about the company is that, because of its huge love for dogs, the company itself has been named after the Mark Pincus' bulldog, Zinga. Even the company logo was also inspired by him.

Google

Before the company policies were in place, staffs at Google have already brought their dogs to work with them. In fact in 2004, the company awarded Yoshka their top dog of the year. FastCompany also posted a part of an interview that Meghan Casserly, corporate communications manager at Google, has shared, "Dogs at work embody the 'tenacity, loyalty and all-around playfulness' of their company culture."
