And between June 2014 and June 2015, she earned an estimated $135 million before taxes, agents, lawyers and lifestyle expenses.
Katy Perry's 2015 estimated annual earnings of $135 million is mostly attributed to the success of her 126-show "Prismatic" world tour, which ended in October, E! News noted. Her endorsement deals with Covergirl, Coty and Claire's accessories were also a plus. Last year, Perry only landed fifth on the Forbes' list with $40 million.
"I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company," Katy Perry, who has an estimated net worth of $260 million, told Forbes in June for their Celebrity 100 cover story. "I'm an entrepreneur. I don't want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls."
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift came in second with $80 million, thanks to her successful "1989" tour, Entertainment Weekly reported. The 25-year-old "Shake It Off" hitmaker banked her multimillion annual earnings through album and ticket sales. Last year, her estimated annual earnings were listed to be $64 million. And just recently, Swift wrapped up the U.S. leg of her tour on Halloween in Tampa, Florida, where she sang a duet of "Let It Go" with "Frozen" star Idina Menzel.
With her estimated annual earnings and net worth value, Katy Perry also dethroned Beyoncé, who was 2014's top-earning female artist. This year, Queen Bey slid back on the fifth place with $54.5 million. The drop comes from Beyoncé's lack of new music and a tour unlike in 2014, where she wrapped up her "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour and then toured with husband Jay Z for their "On the Run" tour.
Also on the top 10 of the list are Fleetwood Mac with $59.5 million, Lady Gaga with $59 million, Britney Spears with $31 million, Jennifer Lopez with $28.5 million, Miranda Lambert with $ 28.5 million, Mariah Carey with $27 million and Rihanna with $10 million.
In other news, Katy Perry was married to British comedian Russell Brand, for 14 months, as per Celebrity Net Worth. Unfortunately, they are now divorced. With no prenuptial agreement, Perry could have been on the hook for an estimated $22 million divorce settlement. However, the separation was settled on much lower terms and Perry's $260 million net worth remained intact.
