Target is setting its sights onto the big Black Friday madness, and it is now ready to take a step further in providing the best of the best deals and discounts to customers who will be flocking its stores starting this Thanksgiving Day 2015.
Every year, millions of Americans take advantage of Thanksgiving and Black Friday since these two offer them a lot of discounts on almost everything they purchase ahead of the holiday season. This year is no different, so as people anticipate Nov. 27, bargain hunters scavenge for stores that will be offering very practical deals and discounts.
However, many retailers try to build up the excitement each year by keeping all of its promos under wraps until Black Friday arrives, as per Morning Ledger. Fortunately, there are others who are willing to pique the interest of consumers by putting the cat out of the bag this early.
One of those retailers is Target, the American retailer that operates a large number of stores across North America. Target has already revealed its "10 Days of Deals" promotion that will run from Nov. 22 through Dec. 1.
MarketWatch has learned that Target's promo will slash big discounts from many of its products, most especially on its kitchenware and electronics. And that's not all. Interested consumers can view the deals and discounts for Black Friday as early as today via Target.com/WeeklyAd. The same page will feature all of the "10 Days of Deals" promotions starting Nov. 22.
Speaking of Target's offerings this Thanksgiving, Chief Target Stores Officer Tina Tyler said, "Black Friday continues to kick off the holiday shopping season for many guests. This year Target will open our doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving for the millions of families who make Black Friday in-store shopping part of their tradition. For those shopping from home, Target is once again making all of our Black Friday deals available on Target.com."
Tyler then furthered, "In addition, we're introducing '10 Days of Deals' to offer a wide variety of compelling deals before, during and after Black Friday."
This is absolutely great news for consumers since Target's announcement comes amid the qualms of several retailers on the idea of opening on Thanksgiving Day. Many retailers are questioning this move since it would mean paying employees extra for working on a holiday, as per Nasdaq.
Tyler said that opening on Thanksgiving actually gives shoppers the most advantage since they don't need to wait for Black Friday to crowd the stores. However, Target will keep Black Friday special by offering an incentive to shoppers. For everyone who spends $75, a 20% off coupon would be provided, and it would be good for use from Dec. 4 through Dec. 31.
