"Gods of Egypt" has made its presence felt with Lionsgate releasing the first posters of the 5 mythological characters that will engage viewers.
"Gods of Egypt" is helmed by Alex Proyas whose works include "The Crow," "Knowing" and "I, Robot."
"Gods of Egypt" is a story about the survival of mankind which is placed in jeopardy because of the reign of magic, gods, monsters and madness throughout the pyramids of the Nile River Valley and its palaces. This action-adventure is based on Egypt's classic mythology. The only person who can save the world and his true love is an unexpected hero.
Collider dished the mythological characters' posters in "Gods of Egypt" were bursting with colors which were in a way "fantastic in the most ridiculous of ways."
PerezHilton revealed they were quite the opposite of how the "Game of Thrones'" fantasy setting was depicted complete with all the dust and muck of medieval life. The teaser photos from "Gods of Egypt" were just impressive that calling them colorful doesn't do the fabulous images justice.
Here are the 5 mythological characters in Lionsgate's "Gods of Egypt":
1. Set
Irish actor Gerard Butler, who's famous for his role as King Leonidas in "300," portrays the role of the god of the Desert, the main antagonist in "Gods of Egypt" who started the chaos in the world.

Isis, mourning the loss of her one true love, found all the pieces of his body except for his penis, as per Den of Geek.
2. Horus
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays the role of the god of the Sky who helps a mortal battle Set. The actor is best known for his role as Jaime Lannister in George R. R. Martin's HBO adaptation of "Game of Thrones."
