"Adventure Time's" 7th season just recently began and it's giving fans delight and entertainment.
With this season's premiere, it showed that the cartoon has still not lost its charm, even after seven continuous seasons.
What's great is, according to Movie Pilot, a spin-off mini-series is also about to come, which will feature one of the show's beloved character: Marceline The Vampire Queen!
The new spin-off series is set to debut on this Nov. 16 and will explore the past of one of the show's breakout characters. This new addition to the "Adventure Time" media will undoubtedly entertain and satisfy long-time viewers and possibly even helo the show garner new ones.
The show is reported to be named "Stakes" and will be an 8-part miniseries.
Marceline is beloved and heavily discussed by fans because of her complex and wild character. Undoubtedly, her character deserves her own show and if you're not convinced, just check-out the "Adventure Time" episode "I Remember You" that focuses on the character and her previous relationship with the Ice King.
But apart from Marceline, "Stakes" will also explore her past friendship with Princess Bubblegum. During the New York Comic Con, fans who attended the convention got a special treat because the first two episodes of the spin-off were screened.
According to executive producer Adam Muto, the show is a chance to tell and explain previous unexplored backstories, including where Marceline got her vampire powers.
Fans of "Adventure Time" is really in for a surprise because apart from the incoming spin-off, a movie is also in the works according to Rotoscopers.
As reported, news are spreading that Warner Animation Group was developing a film based on the popular series.
Although Muto downplayed what the planned movie was about, he confirmed that the film is definitely "in the works." He also added that the film would happen once creator Pendleton Ward finds the right story to tell.
For the meantime however, fans can sink their teeth and re-watch the latest episode of "Adventure Time" called "Football."
In a report by the A.V Club, the episode features BMO, in his first character-centered episode of the season. It's amazing that the writers of the show managed to create an almost psychological thriller-esque episode. For those wondering why it's named "Football," Football is the name of BMO's female persona.
All in all, there are many reasons to watch out for "Adventure Time," that ever since its creation, managed to become a breath of fresh air into a staling world of animation.
