"Zoolander 2" released one funny trailer that saw the return of male models Derek and Hansel.
But why male models? Because as reported by Forbes, the new trailer will win the Internet because of its hilarious scene that particularly shows the death of Justin Bieber.
Actually, to describe it as "hilarious" would be an understatement and, just like the first movie, you'll definitely enjoy the countless celebrity cameos that it featured.
CNET added that it showed tons of new footage from the film and gave fans of the movie a good sense of how all the characters are coming back for the sequel. In addition to Ben Stiller who played Derek Zoolander and Owen Wilson as Hansel, Will Ferrell also reprises his role as the evil fashion mogul, Mugatu.
The trailer also highlighted a few new characters, notably Penelope Cruz as the Interpol agent Montana Grosso, who was trusted by Hansel instantly because "she's hot." The trailer was noted for perfectly capturing the tone of "Zoolander" so that's great news for fans.
In addition, The New York Times also reported the "Zoolander 2" trailer showed that the movie will be just as silly as the first.
Moreover, the fans also got an idea of the film's plot. In the short clip, celebrities are suddenly dying while making Derek Zoolander's signature "Blue Steel" facial expression. And now, it's up for Hansel and him to save the day.
The "Zoolander 2" trailer has been noted to have a clear marketing advantage because of social media. Apart from popular news sites, the first movie being a cult film is sure to have loyal fans. And those loyal fans will share the trailer via Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.
Movie analysts projects that the new "Zoolander" will be a success, thanks to the first movie becoming the "defining 9/11 movie" because when it was first released, it is just weeks after the World Trade Center tragedy and it offered a sufficient comedic distraction from the fear and mourning as well as implicitly offering a very pointed "This is why they hate us" social critique.
Just like the other "Frat Pack" movie "Anchorman 2," many are hoping that this sequel is not just some way for a nostalgic cash grab because Will Ferrell's movie perfectly satirized modern cable news and offered a fictionalized version of its origins.
"Zoolander 2" is set for a Feb. 12 release, the same time as the run of the New York Fashion Week. Watch the trailer below.
