Jeremy Lin has been slowly, but surely reviving his career after a string of disappointing seasons, in the years after "Linsanity" exploded.
As reported by The New York Post, Lin saved the day and helped the Charlotte Hornets beat the Brooklyn Nets after trailing in the game.
The Nets wasted a 10-point lead and were tied after three quarters, then the man behind Linsanity and the Hornets came to seal the deal with a game-changing run to open the fourth quarter.
According to Brooklyn forward Thaddeus Young, "If you looked at every game this season, we've got off to fast starts, and there are probably seven or eight games where we're up 10 or 15 points and we lost,'' he lamented, "We just have to figure a way to maintain or finish out the games at crunch time."
As for Lin, he scored six of his 13 points in the final quarter, helping his team get away with a win. And due to his now thriving career, MNR Daily reported that several teams are interested in acquiring his services.
Just during the off-season the Nets, the very same team he torched last night, expressed their interest on signing the young guard. Unfortunately, he eventually signed with the Hornets.
It's no secret that he is one of the most talked about players in the league, whether he is having a good or bad game. Rumors are going on that the Bulls are looking to trade Kirk Hinrich for Jeremy Lin. However, analysts are saying that this would not be a good trade for the Hornets.
But it seems, Lin isn't going anywhere because he finally found a team he can call "home." The seasons with the Rockets can be described as mediocre at best, while his stint with the Lakers is disastrous at worst.
It may still be too early to tell, but you can see Lin playing with vigor like he never did before. He is steadily contributing to the team and averaging 11.5 points per game. Not dominant by any means, but sufficient and steady.
After playing with big market teams his whole career, it actually came as a surprise he chose the small market Hornets.
Lin said that the reason for doing so is that he wants a team where he can play a big part.
As reported by SB Nation, the New York Knicks may have a new sensation in the form of Kristap Porzingi, but "Linsanity" lives on, albeit on a smaller scale.
