Khloe Kardashian had to cancel her book signing event last Wednesday because she suddenly felt sick. She apologized to fans for not making it to the scheduled event and explained that it's because she wasn't feeling well.
She also mentioned that they still don't know what's wrong with her and more tests are needed to get an accurate diagnosis of what's ailing her.
But now it's confirmed that she contracted staph infection. The surprising thing is that, she got the infection while taking care of her ex-husband, Lamar Odom.
TMZ reported that the TV reality star has a very serious case of staph infection which she allegedly picked up at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she spends a lot of time at Odom's bedside.
A source described Kardashian's condition as "really bad" and "It's so scary. She's so sick." In addition, the informer added that Khloe "developed high fever and swollen glands. She's also sweating profusely with intermittent chills."
As for her family, it was said they are in state of panic after she was diagnosed with staph infection as one of the family members already died with the same illness. Kris Jenner has been reported to have "freaked out" after hearing about her daughter's infection since her step-father, Harry Shannon, passed away in 2003 due to staph infection.
On the other hand, Kourtney Kardashian, seems to belie the rumors about her sister's condition. On Thursday, she confirmed to E! News that Khloé is afflicted with the infection but denied that she's seriously ill.
"She's good. She's OK. She's not feeling well, but she's OK," Kourtney said.
Someone close to the "Keeping Up With the Kardashian" star also shared that her friend is recovering well and "She just needs some medication and some rest and she will be fine. She's under a doctor's care and they are happy with how she is progressing."
In the last few weeks, Khloe has been shuttling back and forth to and from L.A.'s Cedars Sinai Medical Center to care for Odom, who has been recovering from drug overdose. And now that she can't visit him because she's sick herself, close friends are saying that the stars is upset about it.
Meanwhile, Khloe called off two book signing events but hopes that it can be re-scheduled. She's promoting her book entitled, "Strong Looks Better Naked."
