You better start saving now because the Apple Watch 2 is coming and it's bringing the new iPhone 6c with it.
According to the Daily Mail, Apple is planning to unveil the successor to the Apple Watch 2 - the most hyped accessory in recent memory -- and it will be alongside a mini iPhone that features a 4-inch screen in March.
9to5Mac also sings the same tune and said that nearly a year after the original model first went on sale, Apple is now working on the new watch and also the new iPhone 6c.
As noted, the company began developing technologies destined for future Apple Watch models long before the first generation was even shipped. Like previously reported, Apple has been working on new camera, wireless, sleep tracking and health sensor technologies for the wearable device, but it's currently unclear which of these additions will appear on the new model.
Apple last updated the device in September by adding new colors, bands and software features.
On the other hand, the iPhone 6c would enable Apple to continue using smaller 4-inch displays, which were first introduced with the iPhone 5 in 2012 and continue to be used in the iPhone 5s and sixth-generation iPod touch.
Some users explained that they prefer the smaller size to the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s and the 5.5 iPhone 6s Plus displays due to the fact that it is easier to use the device with just one hand.
As for its specifications, the reports said that the specs for the upcoming smartphone will be somewhere between the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 6s.
Engadget reported that the iPhone 6c may sport the Apple A9 chip and NFC to drive mobile transactions with Apple Pay. In addition, the phone will reportedly be encased in a metal chassis, a very different approach to the plastic shell of the iPhone 5c.
Both the Apple Watch 2 and the 6c is speculated to be unveiled in the March event in 2016, which would be the second March event in a row for the company.
In last year's March event, the company debuted the 12-inch MacBook, the ResearchKit iPhone framework and the finalized first version of the Apple Watch.
And previous to this year, Apple's last March event was in 2012 to announce the first iPad with a Retina display.
But that being said, there's still a good chance that these rumors may be untrue, although 9to5Mac's sources has been correct so far.
Will you be getting the new Apple Watch?
