Mariah Carey's weight loss shocked many people because her transformation was so quick. She looks incredible with her slimmer frame and it has set the media abuzz with theories about how she might have shed all those unwanted pounds.
Mariah Carey has been estimated to have lost more than 40 pounds in just two months and this was revealed after she stepped out to attend the 1st Pier Imports event last Dec. 1. With her before and after photos being uploaded everywhere, there's no doubt that the singer has successfully reclaimed her voluptuous, slim body. In short, she's back in shape!
After her sensationalized divorce from Nick Cannon last year, she has been criticized for her tremendous weight gain. The "Art of Letting Go" singer put on excessive fat that she's so round everywhere. It was said that her weight gain resulted from binged following split with the "America's Got Talent" host.
In September, Carey admitted to be in a relationship with billionaire James Packer. This new romance many have pushed her to get her health (and weight) back in check.
Now, with her glamorous new look, how did she do it? What's the secret to the weight loss?
While we can't pinpoint what exactly she did, but a number of insiders, health, fitness and diet experts shared what they think helped the diva to lose weight drastically. Judging by the singer's appearance and personal knowledge about her, here are their insights:
Celeb Dirty Laundry wrote that in an article posted on Life & Style Magazine, an insider commented: "Mariah has lost the weight in her hips, thighs, and stomach. For the last few months she has been eating lots of small portions and working out and doing Yoga and Pilates every day."
Someone who claimed to be close to the singer also said: "James is on a strict diet plan and he has lost a lot of weight recently. Mariah took his plan and adapted it to her life."
Then again since many already knows that her current boyfriend underwent gastric bypass surgery, many are assuming that Carey went through the same procedure. They think so because, at the rate in which she lost so much within just a few months, that alone is an indicator.
Radar reported that another insider suggested that it was "The conventional way - dieting and cool sculpting" that made the singer slimmer. Celebrity surgeon Dr. Tony Youn explained that this ‘conventional' method is a non-invasive, 1-hour procedure that freezes fat to decrease its thickness by at least 25 percent.
Lastly, plastic surgeon Dr. Susan Evans claimed that Carey had abdominoplasty with liposuction to trim her waist area. Regardless of how the songwriter got her slim figure back, the sure thing is that she'd inspired a lot of women to regain their confidence by taking care of themselves and start looking good again.
