Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's divorce scandal is not only affecting the two celebrities involved; it's also affecting Affleck's mother, Christine Boldt.
According to gossip site Celeb Dirty Laundry, Ben's mother is ashamed of her son's messy divorce scandal and demanded that Jen and Ben attend couples counseling.
It appears that Ben's mother is on Jennifer's side ever since the allegations that her son cheated with the couple's nanny Christine Ouzounian began circulating. Christine and Garner was spotted together recently after attending church with Affleck and Garner's daughter Seraphina.
Those close to the couple say that Ben's mom is sticking with his wife's side and freezing him out.
It should be noted that all throughout the couple's 10-year marriage, Garner has been very close to her estranged husband's mother. If Christine is asking Jen to get back with Ben and recommending couples counseling, it seems that Garner may give the "Batman V Superstar" actor a chance.
Unfortunately, it seems that the actor is not interested in reconciling with his wife because a report from Daily Mail spotted him holding hands with his co-star Sienna Miller on the set during a break from filming.
The 43-year old actor and the 33-year-old actress, who both split with their long time partners earlier this year, were seen sharing a close moment between takes on the set of their new movie, "Live By Night."
In the photo, the two stars looked to be having fun together and at one point, Sieanna showed Ben inside of what looked like a to-go box of her food from catering as a big smile came across Ben's face.
However, a similar report from Parent Herald said that Affleck was far from taking things between him and Miller seriously.
A source close to the set said, "Ben's had Sienna in his sights for a while. They're really flirty on set."
"Right now Ben just wants to keep things casual so he can concentrate on his children. He's not looking for anything serious, and neither is Sienna, so the timing is perfect."
In addition, it was also reported that Ben is not looking for a rebound romance so it's not surprising if they are taking things slowly.
"Live By Night" is a film set in the Prohibition era of the 1920s that is also written and directed by Ben Affleck.
Ben will play the youngest son of a Boston police captain who turns his back on his upbringing to get into the world of running illegal booze and a life of crime.
"Live By Night" is slated for a 2017 release.
