The British singer is continually making the headlines as her latest album "25" has become a massive success. As per Belfast Telegraph, Adele is the first artist to be confirmed for the 2016 Brit Awards which would take place on February 26, 2016.
As per the Independent website, the 27 year old singer could battle Amy Winehouse for the awards. Winehouse is still included in two categories for the upcoming event even after her death last 2011. She still qualifies for two categories which are Best British Album and British Female.
Regarding her new album's massive success, Adele shared details on how she came about in writing "25." During an interview with i-D, the British singer openly shared that her new album "25" is about getting older. She's been doing her best to not make it sound like her previous album "21" which was more focused on being heart broken. "25" on the other hand is about letting go and clearing the past.
"The record is about getting older and becoming nostalgic, It's about what was, what is, what might have been. It's about missing things that you had no idea were so precious, like being 18-years-old and drinking two litre bottles of cider in Brockwell Park with your mates."
She also added, "Those were the most real and best moments of my life and I wish I'd known that I wasn't going to be able to sit in the park and drink a bottle of cider again. I think the album is about trying to clear out the past."
Adele then continued in telling i-D that becoming a parent made her more mature in dealing with things. The "Hello" singer even added that she used to love drama and worrying, but she eventually let go of her old ways. The singer even left a short message stating that life is so much easier when one knows how to let go.
"Becoming a parent and moving past my mid-twenties, I simply don't have the capacity to worry about as many things that I used to really enjoy worrying about. Oh yeah, I used to f--king love the drama of all of it, but now I'm a mum I only have so much head space. I've got to clear a lot of stuff the f--k out, which is really therapeutic, 'cause I can really hold a grudge. Life is so much easier when you don't hoard your past."
