'Grimm' fans are psyching up to handle another love triangle of weirdness made of David Giuntoli's Nick, Bitsie Tulloch's Juliette and Claire Coffee's Adalind with Juliette Silverton's return as Eve mid-way through 'Grimm Season 5'. Camp Adalind versus Camp Juliette may put their pegs down, however, because the covert operations of Hadrian's Wall, growing Wesen revolt, Trubel's alliances and little Kelly indicate things may not fall into that mess so neatly.
For one executive producer David Greenwalt stated before Eve's appearance on Episode 6: "...[Juliette] is dead. She's coming back, but it's not really Juliette anymore. It's this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she's been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing. She's basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall to fight Black Claw."
He also addresses Nick's lingering attachment to Juliette: "Eve has a big scene with Nick in episode seven. She's a completely different person who doesn't even relate to Juliette anymore-because, to her, Juliette is dead.
"The Nick-Adalind relationship is going to have a life of its own without the Juliette/Eve aspect because they have a kid."
Co-executive producer James Kouf stresses: "But there's a lot of other complicated things that are going on that will determine how that relationship works out."
For now, Adalind's awkward conversation with Trubel plus promotional materials strongly suggest that Adalind is into Nick and not just because of their little bundle of joy. Episode 7 may see a kiss between the Grimm and the Hexenbiest.
In the meantime, Trubel is definitely coming into her and will reveal more of how she got involved with Hadrian's Wall.
The official trailer for Episode 7: 'Eve of Destruction' suggests Nick himself may be persuaded to team up with Hadrian's Wall. Comic Book Movie says Nick and Monroe may also pay Germany a visit - Black Forest to be exact - to find a way to end Wesen disharmony.
Bailey Chase is also figuring as Lucien Petrovich in 'Eve of Destruction', who will keep the Grimms Nick and Trubel busy.
Greenwalt descibes the revolutionist: "Lucien's a pure believer, but he's got a streak of deviousness in him. He's not above sacrificing his own soldiers if need be."
'Grimm' winter premiere will air on January 29, 2016.
