Daisy Ridley who plays suspected Skywalker family member Rey in J.J. Abrams 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and one of the most awaited characters in 'Star Wars Episode 8' was given a worthy advice by limelight veteran and 'Twilight' alum as Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart.
Ridley, who is still new-ish to fame, says: "It's very weird. It's just a very weird thing for a group of people to stand and take pictures and many, many people to ask questions. It's cool. I'm like, 'I've seen you in films!' I think I'll wake up tomorrow and say, 'Did that happen?!'
In fact Ridley, whose role's full name Abrams deliberately kept a secret prior to theatre release, openly admitted to having to overcome a good deal of fear to be able to do her 'Star Wars' role: "Because I hadn't made a film before, the whole thing was scary. I had to get over the overwhelming fear of it. That was the hardest thing."
Unlike Ridley, Stewart had been around in the big screen even before 'Zathura' with 'Hunger Games' star Josh Hutcherson. As Bella Swan, Stewart was the subject of massive global adulation, along with then on-screen and off-screen partner Robert Pattinson when the 'Twilight Saga' exploded onto the screens.
Stewart's golden advice for Ridley? "Focus on the fact that you're stoked 'cause you're doing the work that you want to do. It's literally mainly just about focusing on what makes you happy."
She also says: "And if losing your anonymity or whatever doesn't make you happy, then focus on something else."
The 'Still Alice' actress is currently promoting her latest work, 'Clouds of Sils Maria'. Stewart says of her journey as a performer: "I trust myself a little bit more. When I was a little bit younger, I used anxiety and nerves, which I still have a lot of. It's just that I'm better at channeling them. I get better every time I do a job. It's getting more fun."
