The beloved classic long-time comedy hit television series F.R.I.E.N.D.S is said to be reuniting once again. An NBC Special to pay tribute to director James Burrows will require the cast to show.
During the Television Critics Association, NBC's network entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt announced on Wednesday that the network is getting ready for a prime time special in honor of James Burrows, the TV director is celebrating his 1,000th episode.
Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer are some of the many people paying tribute to the man responsible for directing F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Frasier, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Two and a Half Men, Cheers and many more. The tribute is said to be a two-hour special to the veteran sitcom director on NBC.
Greenblatt didn't want to go into specific details about the show when he was asked about the possibility of an official on-screen reunion of all six actors. Greenblatt didn't make any promises, but he did say this..
I'm hoping that all six of them will be there in the same room at the same time. I don't know, logistically, if we can pull that off.
Paul Telegdy, the president of Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC, is also involved in the project and quickly added that all six should be participating in the NBC tribute special in some form.
So, an episode aptly titled "The One With The Reunion"(?) might be in the works and they're not making it official.
NBC didn't want to go into specifics but fans do hope that the long-time running television series that spanned for 10 years will have one last hurrah with Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Ross getting together under one roof, reports indicated.
The tribute will air on Sunday, February 21, 2016 on NBC.
