If you're thinking that credentials and comprehensive experience are enough to get that job, you are only half-right. Before you are finally accepted by a prospective company, you must first nail the job interview. Without positively impressing the interviewer, all your experiences and credentials will amount to nothing.
But if you will take these 5 easy steps, you will be able to land that job easily.
1. Be informed
It will impress the interviewer if he realizes that you have done your homework. Before going into the interview, get as much information about the company as you can. Get the facts about its basic history, its present impact on your particular economy, its officers, and most importantly, the essential things they are looking for in job candidates.
2. Be ready with your response
Anticipate the questions that the interviewer will ask, and be ready with your answers. It will help a lot if you will rehearse your answers beforehand. But don't deliver it like you're just a recording. Answer the questions extemporaneously to impress the interviewer.
If you are going for a manager's job, don't come with the attire of a chimney cleaner, and vice versa. In other words, dress up for the job you are aiming for.
4. Don't say unsavory things about your previous employer
Bad mouthing your former employer is a red flag to a wise interviewer. You will only leave a bad image in his mind. If he asks why you left your former work, just tell him the facts objectively. And try not to be emotional about it.
5. Ask what you need to do next
If you think that the interview went well, it's not wrong to ask the interviewer about the next step you need to take. Be sure that you are able to understand the things you need to do to finally nail the job.
