Maroney tweeted: “Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President..?”
Maroney has transformed not only into a well-known athlete but also the subject of internet chit chat. Her picture with the President went viral on the internet and generated a multitude of comments.
Maroney is 16 years of age and brought home gold and silver for her country, the United States of America. Nonetheless, it was a disappointing second-place finish which brought about her sentiment of dismay.
After landing on her butt during an otherwise flawless performance, cameras picked up the unimpressed facial expression during the medals ceremony. Although it has become a permanent part of her image, she’s taken it in good humor.
