With their success in the big screen, the creators of Marvel's Avengers are now turning their eyes to a new-challenge. According to The Hollywood Reporter, LEGO recently announced the re-creation of this popular movie franchise into a new video game titled 'LEGO Marvel's Avengers.'
This new LEGO game re-creates scenes from several Marvel movies including all the Avengers installments, 'Thor: The Dark World,' and 'Captain America: The First Avenger.'
"This scene in the middle of the battle against Ultron in Sokovia is such an iconic moment in [Avengers: Age of Ultron, that] the team really wanted to ensure that we matched that epic 'build up' to the final showdown, obviously with a serious injection of Lego humor," says Arthur Parsons, game director at developer TT Games.
The video game combines the studio's grand version of the universe with the distinctive humor that all Lego video games are known for.
It was in 2013 that Marvel and Lego last teamed up to create a video game. The product of their collaboration was 'Lego Marvel Superheroes.'
In recent times, the world of video games was deprived of these recent portable Lego game versions. Fortunately, the upcoming 'LEGO Marvel's Avengers' will end the drought for these types of entertainment.
"Players of all ages will be able to experience their favorite Marvel moments in a brand new way, through six different blockbuster films across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while also exploring an incredible amount of classic Avengers characters and content from famed Marvel Comics, all with our unique LEGO style and humour," says game developer Jonathan Blow.
This new video game was released in Jan. 26 and it will be playable in several game platforms including Windows PC, Wii U, Xbox, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, PS 3 and PlayStation Vita.
DLCs or downloadable content based on the forthcoming 'Captain America: Civil War,' and 'Ant-Man' will also be available for all PlayStation platforms.
