At an Apple Store located in Green Hills, a normal guy named Andrew Wall was praised online by a mother for helping her son with special needs.
James Rink was born with Down Syndrome and at six years old, he was diagnosed with Autism. The 9 year old boy was out shopping with his mom LynnMarie, looking for a new iPad. His old one was broken and the pair went out to buy a new one.
The device is not just an ordinary tool for the pair. The iPad is important for James as he uses it as a learning tool. After several years of wear and tear, it was no longer working.
Entering the Apple store in the Mall at Green Hills, LynnMarie was browsing until James ran at full speed. He most likely caught wind of something that interested him but what he thought was a clear way out, turns out to be a very clear glass window. Unfortunately, he slammed into the surface and fell.
While LynnMarie rushed to comfort her son, a 23 year old Andrew Wall, an Apple Store employee, sat on the floor beside the two and asked if there was anything he could do to help.
At that point, he most likely realized that James had special needs. Mother Rink explained that they needed an iPad and asked if Andrew could set the device for them.
Not thinking twice, Andrew set up the device for them while sitting down on the floor. The employee didn't seem to mind working on the floor and to make it all better, James even gave him a fist bump.
LynnMarie even posted her appreciation online:
Dear Apple Store in Green Hills,
I'm writing to let you know how great your employee was to me and my son, James, yesterday when we came to the store to buy a new iPad....
P.S. And a big thank you to Apple for making products that are changing the lives of special needs kids! #wrapyourheartaroundit
Smiles all around after an eventful day.
