Briana Jungwirth isn't the only proud mother for the month of January 2016. America's Next Top Model Host and Victoria's Secret Angel Veteran Tyra Banks just recently announced to the world that she's a proud mother to a healthy baby boy!
Tyra Banks and her partner, Norwegian photographer, Erik Asla had decided last year to become parents through a surrogate.
They decided to go with a surrogate when Banks confessed back in September that she had fertility issues and expressed that it was a difficult time for her. She opened up about her struggle alongside Chrissy Teigen who explained that she and her husband John Legend have been seeing a fertility doctor. Banks wasn't expecting to talk about her private battle on FABLife but she made it known that she grew tired of people asking why she didn't have kids yet.
When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, 'In three years, I'm going to have kids.' Then I turned 24. 'In three years, I'm going to have kids.' Every single year I kept saying that. And then after awhile, it's like, OK, now I want to, and it's not so easy.
Through surrogacy, the couple was able to have a wonderful gift and the baby boy's name is York Banks Asla and to celebrate his arrival, Tyra Banks posted on her Instagram account via her social media handle @tyrabanks a picture of a little baby hat and captioned it saying it was the best present they prayed so hard for. She described the baby as having her fingers and big eyes while Erik's likeness in the child was his mouth and chin. Along with the announcement, Banks also thanked the woman who carried their miracle baby, calling her an angel.
... York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.
