Dave Chappelle Allegedly Upsets Fans in News, Comedian Defends Bill Cosby

Dave Chappelle has been known for his comedic stand-ups for the past several years but just recently at Pabst Theatre, the comedian unleashed levels of humor involving Bill Cosby that made the audience cringe.

He reportedly promised that he would not be making jokes about Bill Cosby as a sign of respect towards Bill Cosby's wife but he broke that promise - he went ahead and did it.

On Sunday, Chappelle who was named by Esquire as "the comedic genuis of America", was reported to be close to wrapping up his residential show until he unleashed a run of humor aimed at Bill Cosby.

However, it wasn't the jokes about the Bill Cosby scandal that irked the audience. Reviews online have sparked that the comedian ended his show by taking a platform in favor of Cosby's positive side. He has insisted that he does not dismiss the claims made against Cosby but wants the audience to know that he left a positive legacy behind.

His remark has made the audience uncomfortable and may have created reviews against his own self but his show was reportedly a success nevertheless.

Other than his remarks about Bill Cosby, Chappelle also poked fun at the Steven Avery documentary - Making a Murderer. He mostly, he made fun of himself - which is the humor he is known for.

Chapelle is also known for his supporting actor roles in The Nutty Professor, Con Air and Blue Streak. But his career in movies started with a supporting role in Mel Brook's Robin Hood: Men in Tights. He made a name for himself in the comedy circuit. His comedy stand-up career started to become famous on 2003 in his sketch comedy show "Chappelle's Show".

If you'd like to catch Chapelle at Pabst Theatre, tickets are still being sold.
