Jumping from one company to another can be a complicated one especially when you have to come up with a resume that details every position you have had in the past company. You might find it confusing to list the jobs on your resume.
Careful formatting and clear writing of a resume can help you land that job. Here are some tips.
When advancing through one department
When you want to detail the positions you held in one company, it is important to note if you are advancing through one deparment or you are jumping to another department.
If you are just in the same department, then you can detail your promotions this way:
1. Write the company name
2. Put your start and end dates next to it.
3. Then below it, list each title you held with corresponding dates beside each title

Listing multiple positions in the same company can help build a good name. It means that you have had several accomplishments that were seen by the employer. If you have specific awards or recognitions for a specific position, be sure also to put it.
Jumping from one different to another
Jumping from one department to another requires a different approach. You can follow the steps outlined here:
1. Write down the name of the company.
2. Put your current title underneath. If you have achievements, then you can put it below the title in bulleted format.
3. Once done, put another title below without repeating the company name. Also follow the bulleted format for achievements.
One thing to note when doing this is to make sure you follow the same format all throughout. Meaning to say, if you have worked in other companies and have jumped from one department to another, be sure to follow the same format you used in the previous company.
There is also a format that you can follow for special situations. If you are still unsure about what to do with resumes, there are actually different online websites that offer free resume samples. You can check them out and see what works for you best.
